Sometimes the fastest way to discuss a student’s attendance is a phone call. Attend makes it easy to track those calls without going through the full “Document a Meeting” workflow.
The new Document a Call option helps you:
- Capture real outreach quickly so nothing gets missed
- Keep conference records accurate and up to date
- Stay organized when calling several families at once
Where to Find “Document a Call”
- Open the Conferences module.
- Go to the To Be Scheduled tab.
- Click the Actions menu.
Select Document a Call.
You can use this feature for:
- A single student, or
Multiple students at the same time, using Bulk Action
What You’ll See When You Select “Document a Call”
Attend will take you to a dedicated call-logging screen where:
- All selected students are listed together.
- Each student’s guardian phone numbers appear beside their name.
- You can use this as a built-in call list to make outreach more efficient
Use the listed phone or mobile number to contact guardians and discuss the student’s attendance.
You can add notes as you go, just like any other workflow in Attend. Allowing you to record conversation details in real time.
Apply the Right Conference Status
After each call attempt, select a status from the Actions dropdown for that student.
If you reached the family
- Choose: Close Conference → Conducted via Call
- The conference record moves to the Conference Closed tab
If you didn’t reach the family, but want the call to count as a conference attempt
- Choose: Reschedule Conference → Attempted a Call
- The record returns to the To Be Scheduled tab
- Attend adds 1 attempt to the Attempt Count
If you didn’t reach the family and do not want the call to count as an attempt
- Leave the status blank
- The record returns to the To Be Scheduled tab
- No attempt is added
Save Your Updates
Once you’ve added notes and statuses for the students you contacted, please review your entries and click Save in the top-right corner of the screen.
Once saved, Attend updates the conference record automatically, so you can focus on connecting with more families.
