The Attendance Summary Report provides student level detail regarding demographics, interventions and absence totals. This report also identifies and labels students by chronic absenteeism level (Chronic, Manageable, Satisfactory, Excellent).
- Log into Attend.
- Click on Reports located in the left-side navigation pane of the screen.
- Scroll down and click on the Absence Reports tab.
- Locate the Attendance Summary Report, Select View Report.
- Once the window opens, review and update the parameters/filters as needed:
- Fiscal Year: Select current or prior year data.
- Site Name: Select school.
- Attendance Category: All (default) or select Attendance Category.
- Student Status: All (default) or select Student Status.
- Click on View Report to access student data.
- To export the Attendance Summary Report, use the floppy disk.
- To print the Attendance Summary Report, click the printer.
Pro tips for Filtering and Sorting Data:
- Use column V to filter by Chronic Category (chronic, severely chronic etc).
- Use column X to sort by the Day Equivalent Total column.
- You can also sub-filter by grade using column H.
Commonly Asked Questions
Is there a limit to how many filters I can apply? No, there is no limit to the number of filters. You can apply as many filters as necessary to narrow down the data according to your needs.
What are the definitions of the different chronic absenteeism levels?
Excellent: A student who misses less than 1% of student instructional days.
Satisfactory: A student who misses between 1% and 4.99% of student instructional days.
Manageable: A student who misses between 5% and 9.99% of student instructional days.
Chronic: A student who misses between 10% and 19.99% of student instructional days.
Severe Chronic: A student who misses 20% or more of student instructional days.
How do I identify students with perfect attendance? In your Attendance Category filter, select Excellent students only. Click View Report. Export your report to a CSV file and use column X to sort by the Day Equivalent Total column. Your Excellent Students will be students that have 0 days missed.
How do I identify students that are chronically absent (10% or more)? In your Attendance Category filter, select Chronic and Severe Chronic students only. Click View Report. Export your report to a CSV file and use column V to filter by Chronic Category (chronic/severe chronic, etc).
