Attend has a central location where you can easily view all notifications sent to guardians. You can view read and unread text messages, as well as respond to text messages within Attend.This article will explain how to navigate Messages in Attend.
To access the Messages section in Attend
- Locate and click the Messages icon going down the left-hand side navigation panel in blue.
Note: If you have unread text messages, you will get a reminder pop-up each time you log into Attend until the messages are read. You will also see the number of unread messages displayed on the Messages icon.
This page has three main sections.
A) List of different message chains.
B) Message chain with a specific guardian.
C) Message chain filter and student details.
2. All message chains will be displayed on the left side of the screen. You can click on the chain to access additional information.
A. Unread messages will have a bolded teal subject line with a teal dot next to the student name.
B. Messages will be considered read when the message is clicked and the subject will line will be unbolded and grey.
3. You can easily filter your message chains by
A. read or unread messages
B. date (of last message)
C. student name
- The middle portion of the screen shows all messages between the specific guardian and Attend.
5. Attend will show information for the following types of notifications.
- Date and type of letter mailed by Attend.
- Date when a conference occurred.
- Text messages that were sent to, and received from guardians.
You can filter the specific message chain in the middle by selecting or unselecting the different Filter Options.
- The screen will also show at a glance student information. You will be able to view things like the name, ID, grade, school, gender and age of a student. If you would like to see more details, click on the student name under the Student Details section and it will take you to their individual student pag
- To send a text message to the guardian within Attend, you can type a message into the text box at the bottom of the screen, and click the button that says SEND TEXT.
