👋🏻 We've made it way easier to document what's going on with your students. You can now add concerns directly from the conferencing screen, and soon, from other spots in Attend too.
Previously, if you wanted to log a concern about a student, you had to click into their full profile and hunt around for the right spot.
What's New?
Now, you can add a concern wherever you are. When you're wrapping up a conference, you'll see a simple "Add Concern" button, just like the "Add Note" or "Add Tag" options you already use. Click it, type what you need to remember, and you're done.
Why This Helps
You know those moments during a conference when a parent mentions their car broke down and that's why their kid has been absent? Or when you learn a student is dealing with anxiety that's keeping them home?
Instead of trying to remember it all later, you can capture it right then and there. This means:
- Better context: Small details don't get lost between conversations and data entry
- Less running around: No more switching screens or hunting through menus
- More complete student stories: Build a clearer picture of what's really affecting attendance
How It Works
- While you're in a conference, look for the "Add Concern" button
- Click it and write what you learned (transportation issues, health stuff, family changes—whatever's relevant)
- Save it. That's it!
The concern gets attached to the student's record automatically, so everyone with permission can see it and help out.
This small change adds up to a big impact. Your school gets better data to spot patterns (maybe transportation is a district-wide issue). Your students get faster support because the right people see the right information sooner. And you get less busywork.
